WORKING WITH ARIA

Put a review step between AI and action.

Use AI assistance to move work forward while keeping your team’s judgement close to every decision.

Start with a specific job

AI assistance is easier to evaluate when the request has a clear purpose. Ask for a draft follow-up on a particular enquiry, a summary of a project discussion or a starting point for an estimate description. Say who the output is for and what it needs to achieve.

Give the assistant relevant context and distinguish confirmed information from assumptions. More text is not always better; the right project, scope and decision are more useful than a large collection of unrelated records.

Check the facts that matter

A fluent answer can still contain an error. Read names, dates, quantities, amounts and commitments against the underlying record. If a response refers to a document or knowledge source, open that source and check that it supports the recommendation.

  • Check the current scope and document version.
  • Verify calculations and commercial assumptions.
  • Confirm who will receive the communication.
  • Remove promises your team has not agreed to make.

Keep professional judgement in the workflow

Your team understands the site, the customer relationship and the practical constraints. Use that knowledge to decide what to accept, change or reject. A generated draft is a starting point for review, particularly when it concerns price, programme or a technical building decision.

For decisions requiring qualified advice or a formal approval, involve the appropriate person. ARIA assistance does not replace that responsibility.

Prepare for more connected assistance

BuildAria plans to extend ARIA into coordinated workflows across multiple steps. Clear inputs, ownership and review points will help teams make the most of that assistance as it becomes available.

Start by making those review points explicit in your current process. Decide which drafts a team member checks, which decisions require approval and where the final record belongs.
